The Root of Belief
If Alix HAD expressed some kind of recognition of or support for a feminine divine, do you think Dax would have happily accepted a new brother the way he did Weaver? Or do you think Dax has preconceived notions that humans CAN'T share their beliefs--at least not in the same way? In other words, do you think Dax would have deliberately excluded Alix from his deeper philosophies no matter what?

Or do you think Dax has preconceived notions that humans CAN'T share their beliefs--at least not in the same way? In other words, do you think Dax would have deliberately excluded Alix from his deeper philosophies no matter what? It seems fairly clear from his inner dialogue that he was looking for signs from Alix for a congruency in beliefs so that he could welcome him into the fold as the third brother. He was all too willing to share his belief system with Alix, almost eager for the same connection he had with Weaver when they first started laying everything out.
I could've sworn he promised Weaver to keep that stuff a secret.
