How do you think this scenario would have played out if Melanie had been there when these guys showed up? How about if Theresa had been there?

If Mennie had been there? E.T. ending. She'd get the baby to fly them away. Then maybe they'd come back for their stuff and try to find a new place to stay. I started to say Mennie would probably try to leave a clue for The Resa, but she has her address so I guess she could just write a letter.
If The Resa had been there? A lot of questions. A few explanations. And maybe a couple demonstrations. Then (depending on their real underlying nature) the guys would join the cause, leave them alone and try to forget about it, or attempt to exploit the situation. With this scenario it is possible that Amanda would have gotten back to Meri Lin.

If Melanie had have been there she might have been quite mad at these people because they would be trying to take them away, and she would try to make them go away. With the man picking up Ivy i think she would have grabbed her and tried to get her back into her arms or pulled at the man to make him let go of her. If Theresa was there, I'll go with SHO's answer cause it seems the most likely.
