Most of the forums that I've frequented in the past had members that enjoyed engaging in little tag-like forum games. I was hoping to start a few here and see if anyone joins me.
This one is easy. You take a letter of the alphabet and name a hero from literature, comics, movies, TV, songs, anything whose name starts with that letter (and tell where they're from). The next person to post takes the next letter of the alphabet and does the same and we see how long we can go without any repeats.
I'll start:
Alfred Pennyworth - Bruce Wayne/Batman's butler, partner, medic, and confidant

They are good books, like all Card, there is a lot of religious allegory, but the books are well enough written that I find one can ignore it as a function of suspension of disbelief.
Dante Alighieri - Hero of Mary Sue writers everywhere, author and protagonist of La Divina Commedia. He established almost all of the tropes of Mary Sueism, but actually did it well and so cursed us with the impression that others might replicate the feat.
