Hit the Road
Do you think Alix would have been offended if Weaver and Dax had ended up asking him to leave, or do you think he'd have been able to accept that this was a business relationship all along? In other words, does it seem to you like Alix is there primarily for the survival lessons, or do you think he wants their companionship too?

Alix seems to me to be one of those douches that wants to feel like an outcast (though they probably came from the privileged set) but then immediately tries to form a group, a group of outcasts, and believes solidarity comes from exclusion. Then, hypocritically, they feign superiority over the outsiders of the outcasts and try to bend fellow outcast into an abhorrence of those that are different. I draw this conclusion from Alix's behavior/remarks in Negative One (and beyond) about humans even though he is one himself. Which is completely different from Weaver, who is not a human, has a strong reason to mistrust humans, still seems fascinated by them and willing to learn all about them, and also seems to be willing to give less arrogant and privileged acting humans a chance.
So to answer your questions: a) wants their companionship to form the "We Are Against All Humans Society" or W.A.A.A.H.S. , b) would cry like a baby and stamp his feet while demanding to be taught (as he's already done) if asked to leave.

I think Alix would have been offended that they'd asked him to leave but I'm torn between thinking he'd pretend not to care very much or that he would get very defensive and blame Weaver because he might think he turned Dax against him. Alix seems temperamental but then there's also a calm and depth about him. I see it as he's there for both survival lessons and companionship.
