10/22/10: ivy #57: nothing to be sad about

Mmph. Now *I* want cereal! I got all the ingredients ready to make pizza and now I will pass it up for some Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Foo!

Anyway, I never even considered Mennie chickening out and not realizing that Amanda had left her. Good show for the author, situation resolved without bad feelings. Yay!

Aw, I'm glad Mennie didn't do it in the end. I know it shouldn't be because of all the angsting, but it's adorable that she keeps talking to Amanda about her her personal problems and Amanda just doesn't understand what's going on. I'm curious, though.

I really like Amanda's inner monologue and dialogue. She has a voice of her own. "You wanna cereal?" Tee hee. Also, yay! Theresa!

Oh, and the drawings were a bit different this week. (Not in a bad way, just different.) Was that intentional? :-)

Yeah. Theresa would be a better recipient of her little rants, I think. The baby has no clue.

I didn't do anything intentionally different, and don't really know what IS different in your estimation, but I was traveling while drawing these and spent a little more time on them than I usually do, so that might account for something.

Yeah, one thing I noticed different was that usually SwankiVY tries to make the date a bit ambiguous, but if Mennie is wearing a D.A.R.E. shirt then either she shops in thrift stores or the decade is being pegged down a bit better. Kind of like wearing a "Frankie Says Relax" shirt... only a decade later.
