Have you ever tried to get into a group of some kind that appeared to require an initiation or approval before you'd be accepted? Have you ever been a decision-maker in a group that gets to choose who it accepts? Share your experiences.

If it counts i tried to get acceptance into one of those elite schools that require a scholarship from doing really well in an exam. Went into a big room with a whole bunch of other 12 year olds and did not do well enough in the exam/not smart enough to get a scholarship.
No, have not been a decision-maker of a group to choose who it accepts.
